It’s so easy to say isn’t it? You may have noticed you have put on a few pounds or maybe it is a New Year resolution but you realise it is time to lose some weight. You look around and everyone just looks thin and healthy and then you look in the mirror and don’t like what you see. It’s time to shed some fat!

So how do you get thin fast?

Well many diets make the point that you can lose 20 pounds in 30 days. This is true, you can lose that weight but it will be harder to actually keep it off in the long-term. But if you do want to lose 20 pounds fast, here’s what you can do:

1. Reduce your carbs

You will need to cut out most of your carbs. This includes bread, potatoes, rice and alcohol. Just try and consume 20 grams each day for the first 10 days.

2. Increase your protein

Try to eat lots of meat and fish. This will keep your metabolism stable and also satisfy your hunger.

3. Drink plenty of water

Aim to drink at least 10 glasses/2 litres of water every day. This keeps your body hydrated.

4. Small meals often

Instead of having 3 large meals each day, aim to have 5-6 smaller ones. Again this keeps your metabolism moving forward and also prevents you from becoming hungry and over-eating.

Add a little exercise to these tips and you have a plan for losing several pounds in the next 30 days. The only thing you need to do is actually do it!
